Sue Curran competed at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games where she and teammate David Stallard placed fourth, having been narrowly beaten for the bronze medal.

At the 2017 International Blind Bowling World Championships in Johannesburg, Sue and David won the silver medal in the B3 Mixed Pairs. The medal ranking one better than their bronze in 2015 at the International Bowls for the Disabled competition in Wellington.

Sue also won the NZ Vision Impaired National Ladies Singles title in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Sue is honoured to have Ann Muir as her director and coach and tries to absorb Ann's vast knowledge of the sport when possible.

Sue's interests outside of bowls are family time, travel, gardening, knitting and crocheting.
