Winning his first senior cap in 2004 against Australia, Steven capped a quick rise through the international ranks two years later with his first international goal, the winner in the first of two games against Malaysia. Now with 17 All White appearances under his belt, the former Wellington Phoenix defender showed his knack for timely goals with a 90th minute winner in the Oly Whites opening Olympic qualifier against Fiji.
