Raukawa is 17 years old and a student of Hamilton Boys High selected to compete in karate at the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games.

How did you get into your sport? I started when I was six, I got into it through my family because my uncle has been involved in martial arts for years.

What do you love about the sport? The competitiveness is what drives me, I like challenging myself.

What inspires you? My Mum and Dad push me a lot and I try to do as much as I can for them.

Career highlight: Two-time Oceania Champion
