Glasgow 2014 was the first Commonwealth Games for Kate. After starting mountain biking in 2010, Kate has gone on to win the 2014 New Zealand Champs Elite Women race and the NZ National Mountain Bike Cup Series. In 2013 Kate placed 10th at the French Cup Meribel and 14th at the BMC international bike race in Davos, Switzerland.
