Hamish Beattie

Hamish Beattie was born in Australian but resides in the Hawkes Bay, having attended Napier Boys High School.

Hamish represented New Zealand at the 2009 Australian Youth Olympic Festival held in Sydney competing in the Canoe Sprint K1 and K2 events.

Originally Hamish took up canoe racing as a form of winter fitness training for Surf Ski.  Hamish was coached by Phil Dooney of the Hawkes Bay Kayak Racing Club.
